Effective Sports Massage

Is a sports massage right for me?

As well as moving our joints, muscles also stabilise our joints too. Any minor problems can affect function and cause serious pain and discomfort. A 'sports' massage is not just for sportsmen! It is suitable for people of all ages, all levels of fitness and all genders. If you are suffering from chronic pain or muscle specific tension - a sports massage can provide effective relief. A sport massage works to prevent and treat muscle injuries, pain and soreness.

Sports massage uses traditional techniques of Swedish massage but is enhanced by incorporating advanced soft tissue techniques such as muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy and myofascial release. I use advanced techniques and a range of motion and flexibility tests whereby I can locate the area of injury, the exact cause of the discomfort and then work on rectifying the issue.
