Just beneath the skin is a sheet of connective tissue known as fascia. It surrounds, supports, protects, and connects each and every structure in the body. Any imbalances or restrictions in the fascia may cause feelings of muscular tightness, pain, stiffness, discomfort or decreased flexibility anywhere in the body. Also, when you consider that fascia may also contain nerves, blood and lymphatic vessels, it is not surprising that any improvement in its condition may lead to improvements throughout the whole body - including the circulatory and nervous system.

Myofascial Release is a safe and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This particular technique is performed without the use of oils or creams so that the therapist can accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to encourage fascial release.
